STUB. USPSTF Grade A (2018) — primary HPV testing every 5 years ages 30-65 acceptable alternative to cytology q3y or co-test q5y. Sensitivity for CIN3+ ~95% (vs ~70% cytology). HPV-16/18+ → direct colposcopy; other-hrHPV+ → reflex cytology triage (ASCCP 2019). Negative primary HPV at 5y has higher NPV than cytology alone.
