Notes
STUB. ACR TI-RADS (2017) sets size-based FNA thresholds: TR5 ≥1 cm, TR4 ≥1.5 cm, TR3 ≥2.5 cm (FNA), smaller → follow-up only. Reduces unnecessary FNAs ~2-3× vs prior size-only criteria. ATA 2015 uses parallel sonographic-pattern scheme (high/intermediate/low/very-low/ benign-suspicion) with similar size cutoffs. Either system acceptable; TI-RADS more reproducible across readers.
