Quantitative HCV RNA used to TRACK response over time during 8-12 week course of direct-acting antiviral (DAA) regimens (glecaprevir/ pibrentasvir, sofosbuvir/velpatasvir, sofosbuvir/velpatasvir/voxilaprevir, ledipasvir/sofosbuvir). Distinct from BIO-HCV-RNA which captures the single-timepoint quantitative result; this entry captures the serial-monitoring concept for HCC prevention pathway. AASLD-IDSA / EASL minimum testing protocol: baseline HCV RNA + genotype + cirrhosis staging; on-treatment HCV RNA at week 4 (optional, evaluates adherence/response — undetectable at week 4 = rapid virologic response, RVR; not a stopping rule for modern DAAs); end-of-treatment HCV RNA at completion (week 8 or 12); SVR12 — undetectable HCV RNA 12 weeks after treatment completion = virologic cure (>95% achievable with current DAAs, durable in >99%). SVR12 = primary efficacy endpoint for HCV cure; SVR24 essentially equivalent.
