Notes

CLARINET (Caplin NEJM 2014): lanreotide 120 mg q4w vs placebo in well-differentiated G1/G2 non-functioning GEP-NET (n=204). mPFS not reached vs 18.0 mo (HR 0.47, p<0.001). Also shown in PROMID (Rinke JCO 2009) with octreotide LAR 30 mg q4w for midgut NET: mPFS 14.3 vs 6.0 mo (HR 0.34). Both trials establish SSA as antiproliferative standard (not just symptom control). CLARINET OLE (96-week extension) confirmed durable benefit in stable/non-progressive disease. Octreotide LAR 30 mg q4w is a valid alternative to lanreotide (no head-to-head; both NCCN Category 1 for GI-NET). Lanreotide used here as it has the broader CLARINET GEP-NET data set. STUB pending §6.1 signoff.
