Concurrent capecitabine radiosensitization (825 mg/m² PO BID on RT days only) — paired with conventionally fractionated GI chemoradiation

Deterministic view of the source YAML entity. Clinical authority remains with the cited source IDs and reviewer sign-off state.

Knowledge-base record for audit. Provisional clinical content: this is not a prescription. An oncologist must verify original sources, applicability and review status. Full rules and constraints are in the YAML.

Notes

Concurrent radiosensitizing capecitabine paired with a conventionally fractionated GI RadiationCourse — distinct from the cyclic palliative capecitabine pattern (REG-CAPECITABINE-PALLIATIVE: 1000 mg/m² BID days 1-14 / 21d for ECOG 3-4 mCRC). The 825 mg/m² PO BID "on RT days only" schedule has no fixed cycle structure: capecitabine is taken Monday through Friday during each week of RT delivery (with the daily dose split BID, typically ~12 hours apart, ideally bracketing the RT fraction), held on weekends and any RT-off days, and stopped with the final RT fraction. Total exposure ~5.5 weeks for the canonical 50.4 Gy / 28 fx pairing. Authored to back-fill the `concurrent_chemo_regimen` FK on two §17 RadiationCourse entities that previously had to leave the field explicitly null with audit-trail comments because no matching regimen existed: - RC-LCCRT-504-28-RECTAL — long-course preoperative chemoradiation for locally advanced rectal cancer (PRODIGE-23 TNT CRT phase / standard arm; SRC-PRODIGE-23-CONROY-2021, SRC-NCCN-COLON-2025, SRC-ESMO-CRC-2024). Conroy 2021, Lancet Oncology n=461; 3-yr DFS 75.7% (TNT) vs 68.5% (standard); pCR 27.8% vs 12.1%. - RC-LAPC-CHEMORADIATION-PDAC — definit...
