Capabilities

Notes

Testicular GCT is the most common solid tumor in men aged 15-35 and one of the most curable cancers even at metastatic stage (BEP-based chemotherapy cures ~80-92% of metastatic good/intermediate-risk GCT; ~50% poor-risk). Early diagnosis via self-examination + ultrasound is critical. All staging workup requires serum AFP, beta-hCG, LDH at diagnosis and post-orchiectomy to determine marker trajectory. RPLND (retroperitoneal lymph node dissection) is used for: residual masses after chemotherapy (seminoma → PET-guided; NSGCT → surgery for >1cm residual), pathologic stage I NSGCT surveillance-alternative.
