Capabilities

Notes

STS is a heterogeneous family of >50 subtypes. Systemic chemotherapy is moderately effective for most adult STS histologies. Doxorubicin is the most broadly active single agent. Response rates are modest (~10-26%). MDT discussion at a specialized sarcoma center is strongly recommended. Histology matters: GIST → imatinib (separate); bone sarcomas → separate; Ewing → VDC-IE; rhabdomyosarcoma → pediatric protocols.
